Timber blinds are a high quality, premium range wooden venetian blind. They are usually manufactured from a basswood. The basswood is a hard wood which means it is hard-wearing and tight grained. Slat sizes on Timber blinds are the standard 25, 35 or 50mm as with most wooden venetian blinds.

High quality woods such as Timber often weigh more than the aluminium alternatives, this equates to restrictions on the blind width and drop. 2.4m is usually the maximum with and drop.

There are a variety of colours to choose from, however the texture will always stay the same on Timber Blinds. Timber blinds offer a warm natural effect and are perfect for homely or earthen based décors. If your décor is metal-based a wooden blind will probably look out of place.

As with all venetian blinds, timber blinds offer great light control using their tilting slats. If you want to let the light in completely you can also raise and lower the blinds using a different cord. The wooden slats will not only reflect the light, but also the heat which helps keep the room cool on scorching hot days.

Obviously because this kind of blind is a high end, higher quality product, you can expect the prices to be higher. If you are looking for a “budget blind” then timber blinds probably aren’t for you.

In conclusion, timber blinds are a stunning product. If they fulfil your requirements and match your décor there is absolutely no reason not to purchase this fine product.
